Ingredients
30
g
(1oz) peppermint dark chocolate*
(ensure dairy-free if necessary)
1
cup
unsweetened cashew milk
(or any other plant-based milk)
1
teaspoon
maple syrup
to taste (or sub any other sweetener)
Optional: 1 teaspoon cornflour (cornstarch)
Instructions
Melt chocolate in a saucepan on a low heat
Add milk and maple syrup
Keep stirring and heat gently on a low to medium heat until it begins to steam
In a separate bowl, dissolve the cornflour in a tiny amount of water
Once the hot chocolate is very hot, add the cornflour paste and stir gently until it thickens
Turn off heat and pour into a mug
Enjoy immediately!
Notes
*If you can't get hold of peppermint-flavoured dark chocolate, you could use dark chocolate and a couple of drops of peppermint extractÂ
